Why SunCoast
What you get from a local, licensed installer
Solar companies come and go in California. Here is what stays the same when you work with a team that lives where you do.
- 01
Two state licenses, one crew
Solar and structural work runs under CSLB #1028836 (B General Building). Every wire is landed by our C-10 licensed electricians, CSLB #1105123. No subcontracted electricians you have never met.
- 02
Based in Palmdale, not a call center
Our office is on 8th Street East in Palmdale. The people who quote your job, pull the permit and show up on install day all work out of the Antelope Valley.
- 03
Generac Certified Dealer & Installer
We sell, install and service Generac home standby generators and PWRcell batteries, so backup power is a design choice, not an afterthought.
- 04
25-year written production guarantee
Solar systems we install come with a 25-year warranty and a written production guarantee, so the savings we quote are savings we stand behind.
- 05
$0-down programs and veteran discounts
Financing through partners like Dividend and ELN, plus military and veteran discounts. See the financing page for how the options compare.
- 06
We service what others walked away from
If your installer went out of business, we can diagnose, repair and file warranty claims on your system. Solar is a long relationship; we plan to be here for it.
How the services fit together
Most homeowners start with one project. Here is how the pieces connect so you can plan in the right order.
In Palmdale and Lancaster, the sun does most of the work. The high desert averages some of the highest peak-sun-hours in Southern California, which means a rooftop solar system produces more per panel here than the same system would on the coast. The catch is the rate plan. SCE customers are on NEM 3.0 “Net Billing,” which pays only a fraction of the retail rate for power you export in the afternoon. That is why battery storage has gone from a luxury to the default recommendation: you store the afternoon surplus and use it after sunset when SCE rates are highest.
Backup is the second question. A battery covers a few hours to a day of essential loads. A Generac home standby generator runs on natural gas or propane and keeps going as long as the fuel does, which matters during the multi-day wind-related shutoffs that hit the Antelope Valley. Many households end up with both, sized so they do not overlap.
Everything else plugs into that foundation. An EV charger lets you fuel a car from your roof. An efficient heat pump from our heating and cooling line turns summer cooling into a solar-powered expense instead of a gas or peak-rate one. And for panels already on the roof, bird and critter guard and maintenance and repair keep them producing.
Paying for it is its own topic. Our financing page compares cash, loans, $0-down programs and leases, and the incentives page covers what is still available in 2026, including California SGIP battery rebates and the commercial 48E credit.

Questions
Questions people ask before they call
01Which services does SunCoast Solar offer in the Antelope Valley?
Residential and commercial solar, solar battery storage, Generac home standby generators, Level 2 EV charger installation, bird and critter guard for existing panels, solar maintenance and repair for any brand, and heating and cooling service and replacement. All of it is done by our own licensed team out of Palmdale.
02Do you only work in Palmdale and Lancaster?
Palmdale and Lancaster are home base, but we have permit history in Littlerock, Rosamond, California City, Victorville, Los Angeles and Bakersfield. If you are anywhere in the high desert or the surrounding counties, call and we will tell you straight away whether we can take the job.
03Is there still a federal tax credit for home solar in 2026?
No. The residential solar tax credit (Section 25D) ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025, so homeowners who buy a system in 2026 do not receive a federal credit. The business credit (Section 48E) is still available for commercial systems and for third-party-owned residential systems such as leases and PPAs placed in service by the end of 2027. Our incentives page explains what that means for your options.
04Can I get a quote for more than one service at once?
Yes, and it usually makes sense to. Solar, a battery, an EV charger and a generator all share your electrical panel, so designing them together avoids paying twice for permits, trenching or panel upgrades. Tell us everything you are considering and we will price it as one project with phases if you want to spread it out.
05Do you install solar on tile roofs?
Yes. Tile, composition shingle and metal roofs are all common in Palmdale and Lancaster, and each needs a different flashing and mounting approach. We inspect the roof before design and tell you if any repairs should happen first.
06What happens after I submit a quote request?
A SunCoast team member calls or emails during business hours to ask about your electric bill, your roof and what you are trying to solve. From there we schedule a site visit or build a preliminary design from satellite imagery and send you real numbers. There is no obligation at any step.
